What NeuroDiary stores
The app lets you enter information about your family, including child names, diary notes, tags, dates, times, locations, timeline records, and optional child profile photos. This information is sensitive and is intended to stay under your control.
- With the Free plan, this information is stored locally on your device.
- Deleting local data in the app removes the local diary, profiles, timeline records, saved locations, and locally stored photos.
- We do not use diary content for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
Optional Share & Sync
If you choose a paid sharing plan, the app encrypts records on your device before sending them to the NeuroDiary sync service. The service stores encrypted changes, workspace and device identifiers, timestamps, and subscription entitlement information needed to operate syncing. The encryption key is shared between devices using the QR pairing flow; it is not sent as readable diary content to the sync service.
Cloud sync is optional. If you do not enable it, your diary remains local. Encrypted cloud changes may remain available to the shared workspace until the workspace is deleted or a deletion request is processed.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple. Apple processes payment details and provides the transaction information needed to confirm your subscription. NeuroDiary stores only the entitlement details needed to unlock the selected plan, such as the product, subscription tier, expiry date, and an Apple transaction reference.
Service providers
Optional sync uses Cloudflare Workers and D1 to store encrypted sync records. Apple provides App Store subscriptions and transaction verification. These providers may process normal technical information such as IP addresses, device or request metadata, and service logs as part of operating their platforms.
AI Insights
The local pattern review runs on the device. AI Insights is a separate paid feature and is not used unless you choose to enable it. If a future version sends selected diary information to an AI service, we will update this policy and the app will clearly explain what is being shared before it happens.
Children’s information
NeuroDiary is a tool for adults to record information about children. It is not intended for children to create accounts or submit information themselves. Please only record information you have a lawful and appropriate reason to keep.
Your choices
- Use the app entirely offline on the Free plan.
- Choose whether to enable sharing and sync.
- Delete local information from Settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account.
